Driver Bio & History
Reid has been driving a go kart since he was 5 and started racing just before his 8th birthday in July of 2003, competing in 6 races. He finished a respectable 4th and 5th in his first partial season. He started the 2004 season with lots of enthusiasm, determination and ambitions of winning his first race. His first concern at the track is making friends and his outgoing compassionate nature earns him some popularity.

Reid Racing put together an impressive first full season in 2004, participating in a total of 35 races at Sutton, Goodwood, Mosport, Innisfil, Gamebridge, Shannonville, and Batavia, New York. The schedule included racing nearly every weekend. Reid raced two full schedules at Sutton Kart Club (SKC) and Toronto Kart Club (TKC). The experience was invaluable.

Reid has obtained a wealth of knowledge racing. He was a member of four clubs in 2005, competing in close to 50 races. He has raced at more than 10 different race tracks with many various configurations. He adapts well to new tracks and challenges. In all he would compete in 61 + races in 2006 amassing 46 podium finishes. In 2007 he would switch to Rotax Junior for part of the season and would focus on that class through the 2008 season (and beyond) starting with appearances at the Florida Winter Tour.

Reid puts tremendous effort into his sport. He is determined and competitive individual displaying an intense focus and a desire to excel. He is learning the values associated with any organized sport. With focus on good sportsmanship, teamwork and family, Reid learned valuable skills that helped him on the track, and prepare him for other challenges throughout his life. He is a good student and realizes the importance of school and having a good education.

2009 / 2010 Highlights:
Over the past two seasons, Reid has been developing his skills in Rotax and the powerhouse 125 c.c. six-speed Shifter Karts. Both are premiere classes for international competition attracting attention from top-level teams from all corners of the globe. Reid continues to run an aggressive race schedule and in 2010 made the move to the competitive senior division where he has excelled.

ASN Canada National Champion, Junior Honda
Champion, BSRKC Regional Series, Junior Honda
Reid would end the regional season with the Honda Junior Heavy championship in the Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship and solid championship results in all classes in both series. He was third overall in the BSRKC Rotax Junior class and second overall in the Ontario Regional Karting Championship Honda Junior division. Reid would record two wins in each series in the Honda Junior class.

Reid would compete in sixty races throughout the 2007 racing season and score a number of podium and top-ten finishes in club and regional events. He would score an impressive 31 podium appearances with 46 top five results. Not bad for a transition year that include experimenting with various engine/chassis combinations.

Reid would finish in the top ten in over 80% of his races in 2008 and record another win in the season's premier race, the Barrie Grand Prix. He finished 2nd overall in the Honda Junior Championship in Quebec in Coupe de Montreal and scored a number of pole positions in both Ontario series.

Canadian Nationals, Edmonton - won two heats and P2 in 3rd to place him on pole. Finished final P4, just 3/1000's off the podium.

Florida Winter Tour - 9th overall (top Canadian) in championship.

Reid competed in 48 races in 2005 with an impressive 31 podium appearances including 10 first, 15 second and 6 third-place finishes. He earned a top-five position in 42 events.

Reid completed every lap of every race finishing out of the top-ten only once. He placed 11th.
